Studio Antara, Punjab’s No.1 Dance and creative art studio presented Dream Catcher 2017 to celebrate its 6th Annual Dance Recital at Lovely Professional University on 24th Dec 2017. The whole show was highly appreciated for its innovative theme of Empowerment, Joy and inspiration. Nidhi Mittal, Director of Studio Antara says, ‘Dream Catcher is our way of igniting the minds and hearts of our audience to dream big dreams and achieve them’.

They are on a mission to take dance to as many people as they can to help people heal from within by using dance as a way to embrace a hobby and live a life of passion. Rashmi Mittal Pro Chancellor of LPU was the chief guest and was in awe of all the performances. Seeing working women, home makers and professionals dance on stage inspired her to say ‘ this year I am watching the show as an audience, next year I too would love to be on stage and dance with team Antara and said that Antara is truly Punjab’s #1 Dance studio!

Over 90 students performed in the 3 hour recital, that showcased their talent in the form of Kathak, semi classical, bachata, belly dance and Bollywood. Students from the age of 4 to 45 years were on stage presenting different dances and enthralling the audience.

The whole show was very well managed and executed by the entire team with excellent spirit. Nidhi’s son Arrsh Mittal was on sound and lights, her daughter Aditi Mittal who is a trainer at Antara and teaches belly dance delighted the audiences with a depiction of the human soul and its journey, her wonderful team of instructors, Prabhjot kaur and Deepak Kumar were instrumental in choreographing different dances like Bhangra, Bollywood and semi classical making Dream Catcher a very memorable show. The art teacher Anu Sharma and the personality development coach Shweta Bhardwaj were also present at the event. The event was hosted by Leena Munot, from Bangalore, who is the dreamer at Studio Antara and Nidhi’s friend, who helped create the theme for the evening and creatively engaged the audience with thought provoking perspectives on life and our connection with self.

Anu Sharma – Antara’s art teacher won the Empowerment Award, while Dr. Snigdha Mahajan won the Expression of Joy award and Sufi Raina of Tej Dance Studio (California) won the Inspiration Award. They also recognized students in different areas of dance and gave away awards for best dancer, most versatile dancer, promising student and so on. With an audience of over 500 people the evening was a great success and saw some eminent people grace the show. Dr. Pankaj Paul, Rajan Gupta, Dr. Vijay Mahajan, Dr. Shubhang Agarwal and Narinder Singh Saggu were present at the event.
